Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TransHalo handles information for accounts, billing, Chrome extension connection, realtime audio processing, captions, and translations.

Last updated: June 18, 2026

Information we collect

Account information such as your name, email address, profile image, authentication identifiers, and session information when you sign in.

Billing and subscription information needed to connect your account to Stripe checkout, invoices, subscription status, and billing portal actions.

Usage information such as credit allowance, used credits, remaining credits, plan, billing interval, extension connection status, realtime session metadata, logs, and diagnostic events.

Audio, captions, and translations

When you start a realtime caption session, browser audio or derived audio data may be sent to configured speech, captioning, and translation providers so the service can produce captions and translations.

Generated captions, translations, timing data, provider responses, and session diagnostics may be processed temporarily to operate, secure, debug, and improve the realtime workflow.

Do not submit audio or content unless you have the rights and permissions required to process it through the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide sign-in, account pages, extension connection, realtime captions, translations, credits, checkout, subscription management, security, abuse prevention, debugging, and product support.

We may aggregate or de-identify usage information to understand reliability, capacity, provider quality, and product performance.

Service providers

We use third-party providers for authentication, payments, realtime speech or translation, hosting, storage, analytics, email, logging, and security where needed to operate the service.

Stripe handles payment details and billing portal workflows. Realtime providers process audio, captions, translations, and related metadata only as needed for the features you use.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, billing, credit, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

Where the product supports deletion or revocation, you can disconnect extension access or request account-related changes through the available account or support channel.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account, billing, and realtime workflow data.

No internet service is completely secure. Keep your account and connected browser environment protected, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Your choices

You can choose not to start realtime caption sessions, disconnect extension access, manage billing through the billing portal when available, or stop using the service.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, providers, data practices, or legal requirements change.

If a change materially affects privacy practices, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the product or another appropriate channel.
